Thank you for your posting. This certainly seems to take the form of a sales pitch. It correctly states that the Higher Learning Commission has been criticized for not being rigorous enough in its standards. The article would have more credibility if it concentrated more upon specific standards and letting the reader decide than advocating a specific accrediting agency.
The above link is to a article in the the Chronicle : A Soulful Satire of Academic Life Puts the Antic in Pedantic. Has Anyone read any of Rebecca Goldsteins books. I have quickly glanced over a few reviews and there are pretty strong opions in favor of her writings and even more opposed. Just curious if anyone had read it and had a response.
This article reeks of bias and is essentially a free commercial.
